Travel fail

 We have had a few trips that went just perfectly, with no problems, but generally, there are one or two things that occur that just make you wonder why you did this.  After Seville, we decided to travel to Faro, Portugal, for 3 days and then on to Lagos.  There is no train to Faro, so we had to take the bus.  This was supposed to be a 3 hour, direct ride (we thought) to Faro.  Instead, it was a completely packed bus, that made numerous stops, with the smallest seats ever, and was a 5-hour trip.  One woman from the UK who was behind us said that she has made this trip before and that they are not supposed to make all these stops.  After a couple of hours, some women asked about a rest stop and were rudely told that if they had to use a bathroom, they could get off at one of the bus stations, but that they'd better hurry.  I joined the pack rushing to the bathrooms, and it's a good thing there were a few of them because I was totally turned around and would have missed getting back on the bus!  We later figured out that our problem was that Randy made the online booking, not realizing that the bus he booked was not really part of the municipal system, but was some private company that just uses the municipal bus station.  We should have guessed something was up when the bus was 1/2 an hour late.  We actually ended up making the acquaintance of another American couple, Michael and Phyllis.  Michael is a retired professor from Iowa State and they were as appalled as we were with the ride.  Once we got to Faro, having no idea where we were, we called an Uber, who loaded our bags, didn't say a word, drove us down the street a few dozen feet, and started laughing.  The hotel is actually attached to the train station! 

Fortunately, we woke up to this view the next morning, the Eva Senses hotel is lovely, Faro is a pretty city and the weather was great.
