First day and a half in Valletta have been great.

 We are staying at a cute little boutique hotel called Casa Ellul.  It has a great location, which is the first thing we always look for.  So after we arrived, and took a little sleep time, we headed out and found a cute little Italian place only a hundred feet away from us, Zero Sei. The lady in the background is Chris.  She and her husband, Matt, are from San Luis Obispo and have been travelling since Dec. 14.  It turns out that their son lives in Berlin, and they started out there.  They struck up a conversation with us and we had a good time sharing travel and family stories.  They have been here for four days, and they also put us onto some good places to check out.  

Today started out with a great breakfast here in the hotel, and then we checked out The Malta Experience, which covered 700 years of amazing history of this island.  Then we toured the Sacre Infermeria, which was a hospital run by the Knights Hospitallers of Malta.  Both were worthwhile, and then we just rambled around the area.  We found a neat little supermarket/food court place that is like a mini Eataly.  Think we will hit that up at dinner time, then there is a whiskey bar we want to check out.
